Concrete blinding is among the measures any contractor can take to prepare the ground before reinforcement steel installation. The purpose of blinding concrete is to separate soil from directly contacting with reinforcement and provide a smooth, level base for reinforcement to be chaired upon. It also prevents concrete seepage into the support soil or water being soaked up by the soil and extracted from the concrete mix. Blinding is also for restoring levels before actual work begins.
The average thickness of blindness is 50mm and varies with purpose. You can get in touch with us if you need help with preliminary construction works.
