Palmer Construction is one of the companies specializing in Civil works contracting in Zimbabwe. We are looking to hire civil and structural engineers residing in Zimbabwe as per below:
Responsibilities
- Structural designs and drawings for residential, industrial, commercial and health infrastructure buildings.
- Leading a design team and liaising with other professional team members and contractors.
- Attending project meetings.
- Performing facility conditional assessments.
- Compilation of tenders, RFQ’s and proposals.
- Coaching and mentoring of junior staff
- Conducting technical reviews to ensure that designs are in accordance with project requirements.
- Ensure tender related estimates are accurate and competitive
- Verify project related engineering is done accurately and according to the related standards and codes.
- Ensure tender estimates are tracked during the execution phase.
- Introducing new elements into the design philosophy as and when applicable. (ie keep upto date with new configurations of structural elements)
- Effective communication with project team and outsourced team to ensure success in execution.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering
